WAM to launch ‘Feature Stories’ service in October

ABU DHABI, The Emirates News Agency, WAM, will launch, in October, its weekly visual and written ‘Feature Stories’ service.

The new service will provide quality media-related materials that will highlight leading and unique tourism and historic attractions around the country, as well as present the success stories of its heroes, who overcame difficulties and had many achievements to their credit.

Mohammed Jalal Al Raisi, Executive Director of WAM, said, “The new service is part of WAM’s ongoing development of its media content, which focusses on providing quality media services to its local and international strategic partners.”

He explained that WAM is the first Arab news agency to launch this type of service, due to its role as a national media platform that showcases the country’s history and overall development, which have enabled it to attain leading positions in international competitiveness indexes, as well as in motivating the individuals and communities in the UAE to present their experiences, as excellent, creative and innovative examples.

Al Raisi added that, starting October, WAM’s strategic partners, whether news agencies, newspapers, magazines, radio stations, TV stations and websites, will receive material from the new service through its “transmission service” while audiences and readers can follow and view these materials through WAM’s social media platform and a new page on its website.

Al Raisi added that this type of media service will add to the diverse services offered by WAM to its strategic partners, especially those who have daily news releases, as it will provide them with social reports in under five minutes and grant them complete freedom to modify the content.

He further added that the new service will help strengthen the partnership between WAM and government and private institutions in the UAE while welcoming any relevant suggestions, initiatives or nominations issued by various authorities and institutions.
