Venture capital funds launched in Ras Al Khaimah to enhance efficiency of judicial bodies

RAS Al-KHAIMAH — In a bid reflecting the emirate’s consistent efforts to enhance efficiency of judicial bodies and bolster their performance in line with best international practices, Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, has ordered the establishment of two venture capital funds for the emirate’s Court and Prosecution departments The two funds are aimed to launch innovative initiatives conducive to optimising performance and adopt latest state-of-the-art technologies to streamline judicial procedures.

Chancellor Ahmed Mohammed Al Khatri, Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah Courts Department, said, “The initiative is the first of its kind in the emirate and will reflect positively on advancing the judicial work in emirate to higher levels of excellence for the higher good of our homeland.”

Chancellor Hassan Al Habsi, Attorney-General of the Emirate of Ras Al-Khaimah said the new innovative initiative goes in unison with the country’s national strategy for innovation whereby know-how can be best utilised to bolster and streamline judicial procedures.
