UAE participates in meeting of GCC Industrial Cooperation Committee in Muscat

ABU DHABI, The UAE participated in a meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council, GCC, Industrial Cooperation Committee, which was held in Muscat from 30th April to 1st May, due to its keenness to help develop the region’s industrial sector.

The meeting’s participants discussed key topics on its agenda, such as the report of the Economic and Development Affairs Authority on the duties and activities of the Gulf Organisation for Industrial Consulting, GOIC, as well as ways of strengthening the region’s industrial sector.

They also reviewed a memo from the GCC General Secretariat on standardising the regulations of member states related to government purchases of national products.

The UAE delegation was headed by Dr. Matar Hamed Al Neyadi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Energy and Industry, and included Osama Amir, Acting Under-Secretary Assistant of Industry Affairs, Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Director of the Office of the Under-Secretary of the Ministry, Moza Al Shamsi, Project Director of the Industry Sector, and Hala Al Marri, Executive of Industrial Studies and Policies of the Industry Sector.
