Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak International Award for Arab Youth promotional campaign continues in Spain, Arab Maghreb

ABU DHABI — The Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak International Award for Arab Youth, which was launched last April and is one of the awards presented by the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Programme for Community Excellence and Innovation, continues its promotional campaign in Spain and the Arab Maghreb Union of countries.

Dr. Hessa Abdullah Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, met with Noura Al Karbi, Award Coordinator at the UAE Embassy in Madrid, and talked about the award and the importance of promoting it in countries with close historical ties to the Arab world, including Spain, where a large number of Arab communities live.

Ambassador Al Otaiba was briefed about the history of the award, which was launched in 2011 under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, as well as its goal and the promotional plan for various academic, media, development and sporting institutions.

Al Otaiba expressed her full support of the award, adding that is is one of the achievements of the “Mother of the UAE” that makes every Arab citizen proud. She also expressed her desire to involve a large segment of Arab youth living in Spain in the award, by giving Noura Al Karbi the opportunity to meet with various local Arab institutions and figures, in a bid to introduce the award and its importance.

Cordoba International TV will host Al Karbi to learn more about the award, its categories, its financial value and its support from H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak. Officials from Cordoba International TV have also expressed their willingness to cooperate with the award’s promotional team, due to their belief in the importance of the participation of Arab youth and institutions, while supporting them in the various branches of the award.

Under the framework of promoting the award, a local Arab community radio station interviewed Al Karbi, who had several introductory meetings about the award with many institutions in Madrid, Barcelona and Granada, including the Euro-Arab Foundation in Granada.

She also held meetings with the Barcelona Football Academy, Granada University and Complutense University of Madrid, one of the oldest universities in Spain, as well as Madrid’s Arab House, the World Youth Forum in Spain and schools.
