OIC General Secretariat condemns terrorist bombings in Egypt, Bahrain

JEDDAH–The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), has strongly condemned the terrorist bombings in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, and the Bahraini village of Diraz, on June 18, 2017.

The two attacks caused the death and injury of a number of innocent people.

In a statement, the secretariat said, “These terrorist acts are aimed at destabilising the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Kingdom of Bahrain and terrorising the innocent people.”

The OIC secretariat reiterates its solidarity with the governments of Egypt and Bahrain in tackling the terrorism. It also emphasised the OIC’s constant position of condemning the terrorism “in all its forms and manifestations.”

The General Secretariat also wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
