Nahyan bin Mubarak offers condolences after bombings at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Alexandria and Mar Girgis Church in Tanta

ABU DHABI, — Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, has offered his condolences to the Reverends Bishoy and Abraham, of the Christian Coptic Orthodox Church in Abu Dhabi, and to all Egyptians, for victims of the terrorist bombings that targeted St. Mark’s Church in Alexandria and Mar Girgis Church in Tanta, which led to the death of several Egyptians and injuries to many others.

This came during prayers at Saint Antony’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral Church.

Condolences were also offered by Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Mohammed Mattar Al Kaabi, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Ali Al Hashemi, Religious and Judicial Affairs Adviser at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, and Wael Mohamed Gad, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the UAE, along with his wife and members of the Egyptian Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

During his speech, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan praised the excellent relations between the UAE and Egypt, and his confidence in Egypt’s ability to confront this danger and overcome attempts to undermine the unity and cohesion of all of its people.
