Ministry of Interior Ramadan Councils 2017 discuss tolerance in recent meeting

ABU DHABI — The Ministry of Interior’s Ramadan Council has concluded this year’s council agenda under the slogan, ‘Generations Resume Civilisation’, where attendees held discussions on tolerance.

The discussions revolved around positive change, optimism, challenging the impossible, charitable giving, science, and time management.

During the Holy Month of Ramadan, the council held worthwhile discussions with the aim to promote national efforts and strengthen the nation’s development journey.

The participants also discussed how the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan adopted values of tolerance and intellectual enlightenment as a method in which UAE society is based upon, setting the foundations for the UAE’s renaissance and international standing.

The attendees agreed that the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is considered a symbol of tolerance, co-existence and openness to the world.

They also stressed that the wise vision and creative initiatives launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, promote tolerance, co-existence and the rejection of violence, as well as combining various ideas to advance the journey of giving in the UAE.

The sixth edition of the Ministry of Interior Ramadan Council was launched under the patronage of H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, and were organised by the Law Respect Culture Bureau at the Ministry, along with the Emirates Youth Council.

Sheikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Chairman of the Emiri Court in Umm Al Qaiwain, hosted the Ministry of Interior Youth Council on Saturday to also discuss tolerance. He said that the UAE is working hard to promote the concepts related to tolerance while urging youth to complete the journey of their forefathers, to promote of values of giving, loyalty, tolerance and moderation.
