Major General Al Rumaithi receives certificate of recognition for Abu Dhabi Police

ABU DHABI, — Major General H.E. Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, has received a certificate of recognition from the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, PADI, recognising the Emergency Management and Public Safety Department in Abu Dhabi Police as a five-star diving training centre.

The certificate was awarded in the presence of Major General Maktoum Al Sharifi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Police, Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Director-General of Central Operations, and Colonel Mohammed Ibrahim Al Ameri, Director of the Emergency and Public Safety Department.

Major General Al Rumaithi praised the recognition of the department, making it the first security institution in the Middle East and North Africa to receive this recognition.

Al Rumaithi highlighted the benefits of this recognition for the diving personnel in the Abu Dhabi Police and its strategic partners as it would help to develop and enhance their diving skills and rescue missions.

Colonel Al Ameri briefed Major General Al Rumaithi about the diving centre, the conditions of recognition by PADI and the opportunities the recognition will provide the department, which organises specialised diving training courses and programmes as per the best accredited international practices.
