ERC, Porsche sign agreement to expand humanitarian partnership

ABU DHABI — The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, and Ali & Sons Co. LLC, represented by the Porsche Cars Centre, have signed an agreement to expand their humanitarian partnership and support social initiatives during the Year of Giving.

The agreement is in line with the efforts of the two parties to achieve the best results of the adopted strategies and policies in charitable, humanitarian and societal work.

The agreement was signed by Mohammed Yousuf Al Fahim, Deputy Secretary-General for Support Services in ERC, and Wissam Khalil, Brand Manager of the Porsche Centre in Abu Dhabi.

According to the agreement, Porsche will donate AED2,000 to the ERC for every vehicle sold during the holy month of Ramadan. The aim is to support its humanitarian and development programmes, in line with its strategy to promote corporate social responsibility in the private sector.

Al Fahim stressed that the agreement opens up wider prospects of co-operation between the ERC and Porsche. It is a real translation of the will of the two sides in coordinating efforts, activating existing collaboration in charitable and humanitarian fields, and boosting the principle of partnership to serve the humanitarian march in the country, he added.

Khalil praised the humanitarian efforts exerted by the ERC to provide relief to the underprivileged and help victims of crises and catastrophes.
