ECSSR to conduct lecture on “Zayed and the empowerment of Emirati Women”

ABU DHABI, The Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research, ECSSR, is organising a lecture, titled, “Zayed and the empowerment of Women”,” which will be held next Wednesday at 19:30 at the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Hall in the centre’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

The lecture, which will be delivered by Dr. Maitha bint Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State, is part of the initiatives of the ECSSR for the Year of Zayed 2018 that was declared by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to honour the memory of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who dedicated his life to serving and advancing the nation.

The lecture, which aims to highlight the vision of Sheikh Zayed for the betterment of Emirati women, will address his qualities as the founder of the UAE, the creator of its advancement and the originator of its values, whom Allah Almighty had given unique qualities. He was also an inspiring leader, who had wisdom and a humanitarian spirit full of values and pioneering in giving and charity.

The lecture will also present the role of Sheikh Zayed in the advancement of Emirati women through four topics, which are the stature of women and their place in the ideology of Sheikh Zayed and his personality, the role of religious values and customs in advancing the status of women, the efforts of Sheikh Zayed to promote the role of women in creating future generations, and the vision of Sheikh Zayed in the contribution of women to the country’s development.
