Dubai Healthcare City, health institutes to launch leadership, professional training courses

DUBAI, The Dubai Healthcare City, DHCC, the healthcare free zone of Dubai, today announced the launch of a series of leadership and professional training courses focussed on mental health, organised by one of the DHCC’s business partners, Camali Clinic, in collaboration with The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, part of the United Kingdom’s National Health Service.

Omar Oumeish, Executive Director, Dubai Healthcare City Authority, inaugurated the launch event of the courses, the “Quality Leadership and Clinical Practice”, in the presence of Andrew Jackson, Her Majesty’s Consul-General to Dubai and Northern Emirates, British Embassy and Dr Amer Al Zarooni, CEO, Dubai Healthcare City � Medical, along with senior officials from Camali Clinic and Tavistock NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Ramadan AlBlooshi, CEO, Dubai Healthcare City Authority � Regulatory, said, “We, in DHCC, are continuously working to amplify efforts in raising awareness on mental health issues in the UAE to remove the stigma associated with it. In this context, we are proud to support the Camali Clinic �Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust initiatives which play a role in changing the mental health narrative in our region.”

Over the next week, DHCC will be hosting three continuing education-accredited leadership and professional training courses in mental health and well-being, as well as organisational management, designed to better equip healthcare professionals to identify, address and treat mental health disorders.
