AUE International Forum to discuss challenges, opportunities and future of healthcare industry

DUBAI, — The first AUE International Forum Hospital, Insurance and Healthcare Management will discuss challenges, opportunities and future foresight facing the healthcare industry and leadership significance in the hospital and healthcare sector.

Organised by American University in the Emirates, AUE, from 7th to 8th May, the event aims to promote dialogue within the healthcare industry, from leadership significance in hospitals and to challenges and opportunities in healthcare insurance.

The forum provides a platform to share knowledge and expertise among hospital and insurance industry experts, academics and researchers, nationally, regionally, and globally. It also provides a space to understand the role of a healthcare smart city and healthcare tourism and increase awareness of green hospital initiatives and the effect of sports on health.

According to organisers, in an increasingly complex environment, the healthcare industry is facing unprecedented challenges and opportunities. A successful healthcare organisation of the future will develop and implement a leadership strategy that systemically addresses priorities, supported by the leadership, to achieve goals and adapt to rapid change and uncertainty.

Recent growth in the UAE Insurance Sector has undergone significant changes in regulation and its implementation. There is a need to question insurance companies on whether they have the appropriate risk management infrastructure in place to manage this transition.

Prof. Muthanna Abdul Razzaq, President and CEO of AUE, said, “The UAE Vision 2021 national agenda focusses on achieving a world-class healthcare system. AUE has been actively involved in creating health awareness campaigns and aligning activities to help achieve the national target.”

He stated that the forum will shed light on the role of a strong and effective leadership in managing the hospital and healthcare industry as well as the current challenges and opportunities for insurance healthcare.

“Healthcare smart city and healthcare tourism, green hospitals and role of sport on health will also come under discussion,” he added.

The AUE will host the event under the patronage of Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention.

The forum will also feature workshops and training sessions by international healthcare and insurance experts.
