Amal Al Qubaisi discusses stronger co-operation with Uganda, Mongolia, Burundi, Mexico

DHAKA, — Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council, FNC, separately discussed bilateral ties in various fields with the speakers of parliaments of Uganda, Mongolia and Burundi, as well as a member of the Mexican Senate.

The meetings were held on the sidelines of the 136th IPU Assembly and the 200th session of the IPU’s Governing Council in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

During the meetings, with Rt Hon. Pascal Nyabenda, Speaker of the Burundi National Assembly; Miyegombyn Enkhbold, Chairman of the Parliament of Mongolia; Rebecca Kadaga, Speaker of the Ugandan Parliament, and Gabriela, Mexican Senator, they discussed co-operation in parliamentary, political and economic domains.

They also stressed the importance of activating partnerships among the peoples and parliaments of the respected countries. They also discussed the issues that relate to developing co-operation, as well as the latest regional and international developments.

Dr. Amal Al Qubaisi highlighted the importance of these meetings, which enable the exchange of experiences and ideas, and to clarify co-ordinated stances on a number of common issues, especially relating to the role and work of legislative institutions.

Dr. Al Qubaisi also reviewed a number of issues related to fighting terrorism, and other topics of common concern.
