Abu Dhabi Judiciary boasts unique experience in managing ethnic diversity: Yousef Al Abri

ABU DHABI, Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) stressed that the Abu Dhabi’s judicial system has reached a level of maturity and legislative completion and constitutes a rich experience that is now attracting judicial trainees from all over the world.

This was stated during the reception he hosted in honour of the French judicial trainees at the end of their training course at the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department.

Al Abri underlined the importance of the experience of the judicial system in Abu Dhabi and its capacity to deal effectively with a society whose primary character is ethnic diversity.

In this context, the ADJD Undersecretary highlighted the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Head of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, to conduct an exchange of visits with judicial institutions of the world.

The Director of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Academy stated that the training programme followed by the French judicial trainees was part of the implementation of the exchange programme envisaged in the cooperation and exchange agreement signed in early 2016 between the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department and the French National School of Magistracy (ENM).

The purpose of the programme, he said, is to enable participants to acquire the necessary skills to manage civil and criminal proceedings of all levels, in accordance with the UAE law.
