UAE universities making steady progress: Ajman Ruler

AJMAN, — Universities in the UAE are making steady progress and now provide citizens and residents easier access to higher education, as part of the overall progress and development countrywide, H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, said on Monday.

The UAE is among the advanced nations providing quality higher education at its institutions, including Ajman University, the Ajman Ruler said at the 25th commencement ceremony of the university, held for 1,127 graduates of the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes.

“Ajman University has become one of the most prestigious institutions at the local, regional and Arab levels. The notable global status of higher education in the UAE reflects the vision of the leadership who seek to empower people with science, knowledge and culture,” Sheikh Humaid stated.

This progress is led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, Sheikh Humaid added.

He thanked Ajman University’s faculty and administrative staff for their sincere efforts that earned the university “outstanding achievements and a notable academic status”.

H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, sheikhs, VIPs, senior officials, diplomats, and families of the graduates attended the event.
