UAE Embassy opens publications corner at National Library of Jordan

AMMAN — The National Library of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has celebrated the inauguration of the UAE Publications Corner under the supervision of the UAE Embassy, in the presence of Bilal Al Bodour, UAE Ambassador to Jordan, Hazza’ Al-Barari, Secretary-General of Jordanian Ministry of Culture, and Bridger Ahmed Jassim Al Suwaidi, UAE Military Attache in Amman, and many community intellectuals and bookkeepers.

Mohammad Yunes Al-Abadi, Director-General of the National Library of Jordan, praised the UAE initiative for providing the library with 840 books from UAE publications from different fields, which enrich the library with human creative output that benefit its researchers and scholars, giving them the opportunity to learn about some of UAE Publications.

He explained that the allocation of this corner in the library comes within the National Library’s project to allocate special corners for a number of sisterly and friendly countries, in order to foster cultural exchange, and acquaint the library’s visitors and goers with many cultural and intellectual knowledge.

The UAE Ambassador told the Jordanian News Agency, Petra, that the gesture by the National Library reflects the deep relations between the two countries.

He added that the corner, which includes titles of various publications in research and topics with deep human ideas and visions, provides a channel of communication between the UAE and Jordan, and informs large sector of Jordanian society with UAE knowledge.
