UAE, Denmark can join hands to deliver happiness: says VP

DUBAI,– The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Kingdom of Denmark can work together to deliver happiness given the fact that the two countries are at the forefront of countries seeking to achieve happiness to their peoples, said Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, during a meeting with Danish Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen, on Saturday.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and the visiting Danish prime minister spoke about ways of expanding scope of joint cooperation in areas of tourism, culture and trade for the best interest of peoples in both countries.

Sheikh Mohammed informed Prime Minister Rasmussen about the UAE Vision 2021 which seeks to realise sustainable development, and promote the culture of happiness, tolerance and positivity in the UAE’s culturally diverse community.

The VP lauded the opening of the UAE embassy in Copenhagen as a ”positive step” towards extending bridges of humanitarian, cultural and social communication between the two countries.

As they spoke about Expo 2020 Dubai, the Danish Prime Minister commended the UAE winning of the bid to host the expo 2020 in Dubai as a ”resounding success”, saying the UAE deserved to host the international expo for the respect, trust and reputation it gained internationally.

He also lauded the renewed developmental scene the UAE is experiencing in all walks of life including infrastructure. He said investors, tourists and businessmen flow to UAE in search for unparalleled tranquillity, social and economic stability and security.

Present at the meeting were H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director-General of Dubai’s Protocol Department, Fatima Al Mazrouie, UAE Ambassador to Denmark, and Merete Juhl, Ambassador of Denmark to UAE.
