Supreme Federal Court rejects to overrule verdict on terrorism

ABU DHABI–The Federal Supreme Court rejected on Monday a plea of defendant, an Emirati identified as A.A., to overturn the Abu Dhabi Appeal Court verdict in connection with terrorism.

Earlier the court sentenced the defendant to 10 years’ imprisonment on charges of collaborating with terrorist groups and illegally transferring funds to members of these groups. The charges also included setting up sites on social media to promote the ideas of terrorist groups and abuse the state.

The court also heard a number of issues related to the state security in the presence of the media.
