Sharjah Deputy Ruler chairs Executive Council meeting

SHARJAH, 25th July, 2017 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, chaired on Tuesday, the Sharjah Executive Council, SEC, meeting, where issues concerning working systems of local departments and institutions to better serve UAE nationals and residents living within the emirate were discussed.

During the meeting, attendees listened to the Human Resources Department response to policy recommendations by the Consultative Council of Sharjah. The department’s response indicated that it seeks to enhance working mechanisms that provide job opportunities for UAE citizens in the both the public and private sectors, as per the directives of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

The SEC also adopted the proposal prepared by the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, STRA, with regards to improvements on Al Ittihad Road. The Chairman of the STRA, Yousuf Saleh Al Suwaiji, reviewed the details of the proposal, explaining that the authority has prepared a road traffic study to reduce traffic congestion and smooth the flow of traffic.

The council reviewed the agenda submitted by the Department of Planning and Survey, which included a proposal for the introduction of a professional diploma. According to Khalid bin Butti Al Muhairi, the Department of Planning and Survey Chairmanl, the project comes in line with the Sharjah vision to provide national human cadres required training and development to obtain technical expertise within the planning and surveying field.
