National and Reserve Service Authority continues registration of sixth group of female volunteers

ABU DHABI — The National and Reserve Service Authority today announced that it is continuing to receive registrations from potential female recruits seeking to join the sixth group of volunteers for National Service of women aged 18 to 30 years old, regardless of their level of education.

The Authority confirmed the start date of the 12-month deployment of the sixth batch of recruits for 23rd September. It also confirmed that the trainers of the recruits from the Khawla bint Al Azwar School in Abu Dhabi will be female trainers and supervisors with experience in the military and expertise in sporting and social areas, as well as nutrition specialists who will set a healthy and balanced diet for the recruits.

The National and Reserve Service Authority is continuing to strategically develop its programme and training curriculum to achieve those goals that will benefit female recruits, based on their capabilities and skills. Its programme, which was especially designed for female recruits of the National Service, will contribute to building a strong and effective personality, as well as honing the abilities of the recruits to handle their responsibilities, instil their independence and create a spirit of cooperation and team work.

A registration desk will be open to women in a number of registration centres including, Al Nahyan Military Camp in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain Camp in Al Ain, Al Rahmania Camp in Sharjah, and Liwa Camp in Al Dhafra. The documents required from applicants include their family book, their passport, their Emirates ID card, with a photo copy accompanying each of the required documentation. An applicants educational degree certificate, and a letter of approval from their parents that is confirmed by a notary, or the attendance of their parents in person is also required for application.

The Authority explained that the Armed Forces General Command will provide transportation to and from the Khawla bint Al Azwar School, the only women’s training centre in the country, which will transport the female recruits to all the emirates and regions of the country during the weekend and throughout the period of their 10-week basic training.
