Khalid bin Zayed launches ZHO’s app

ABU DHABI, — H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Zayed Higher Organisation for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs (ZHO), on Wednesday launched the official smartphone app “Wesal” of the organisation to better serve sponsored disabled people and their families.

The move, aimed at keeping pace with modern age and meeting internationally recognised standards, is in line with the organisation’s efforts to adopt the most effective practices in delivering quality services based on effective real-time communication.

The new app enables parents to monitor the activities and academic performance of their children with special needs.

The launch took place during a meeting with the board of directors of the ZHO.

Sheikh Khalid praised President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for issuing a new law regarding human resources in the emirate of Abu Dhabi that compels government entities to recruit people with disabilities in suitable positions and provide them with adequate working conditions.

He also praised His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, for supporting the ZHO and following up its performance and projects.
