Kandahar terror attack: UAE President receives condolence cable from Morocco’s king

ABU DHABI, President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a cable from HM King Mohammed VI of Morocco in which the latter extended condolences on the martyred Emirati diplomats who were killed in a terrorist attack in Afghanistan on 10th January.

The UAE diplomats were on a mission to carry out humanitarian, educational and developmental projects in the Republic of Afghanistan.

In his cable, King Mohammed condemned the treacherous terrorist act and expressed his absolute solidarity with the UAE, and further affirmed full involvement in efforts aimed to uproot the scourge of terrorism and dry up its sources.

”Following the heinous terrorist attack on the Kandahar Governor’s house in Afghanistan that claimed the lives of a number of innocent Emirati nationals while they were performing their noble humanitarian mission to support development in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, I extend our heartfelt condolences and sympathies to Your Highness and, through you, to the bereaved families of the martyrs and the brotherly people of the UAE. I pray to Allah the Almighty to bestow his mercy on the martyrs, and grant patience and comfort to their families. I also wish a speedy recovery for those injured,” King Mohammed said in his cable.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also received a similar cable from King Mohammed.
