Education key to building human capital, development: Hussain Al Hammadi

DUBAI, — Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, said that education has become a fundamental approach in creating a future that includes communities aspiring for progress and excellence.

He added the education is an exemplary investment and important foundation for building human capital, as it is the key to development that the leadership looks for.

In his speech during the 10th Global Education Forum, and the Global Education Supplies and Solutions Exhibition, the Minister of Education said that the UAE’s education roadmap has become clear, based on creativity, innovation and constant development.

He further added that within the next few years, the level of education would witness a qualitative leap, as well as the quality of educational results.

The forum, whose activities were launched on Tuesday will continue for three days under the theme “Educate Inspire Build the Future”, was attended by a large number of officials and senior educators, with wide participation by delegations from Gulf countries and an elite of Arab and international education and information technology experts, as well as others with educational interests.

Al Hammadi noted that the UAE, upon the directives by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has become an important player in the international technology field, with a friendly environment for advanced technology, strong infrastructure, and an advanced communications network and tools.

He added that the forum is seen as a unique event in the region, as it offers a wide platform to view all the latest educational tools and practices, modern technological tools, effective methods and educational innovations, which contribute to improving the educational process.

Al Hammadi, accompanied by the country’s guests, the ministers, and local and foreign senior educational officials, launched the exhibition, whose activities this year include the participation of over 550 leading international companies that work in the field of education technology.

He also toured the pavilion of the Ministry of Education and participated in a dialogue session that highlighted the importance of developing education.
