Ajman Ruler, CP briefed on Ministry of Climate Change and Environment strategy

AJMAN– H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, and H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, were briefed about the strategies, plans and programmes of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, and the main projects to be implemented during the coming period in the UAE and Ajman.

The meeting took place while they received Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, in the presence of Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Head of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman.

H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi said that the UAE leadership considers the environment a high priority, along with harnessing physical and human resources to achieve comfort for citizens and raise the level of services.

He praised the efforts of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment in environment protection and for maintaining a sustainable environment that is free from pollution. He also expressed his desire to overcome all obstacles facing the implementation of the ministry’s future projects, while stressing the importance of raising the capacities and skills of public employees.

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi and Dr. Al-Zeyoudi discussed ways of mutual co-operation for waste recycling in Ajman, and for promoting joint co-ordination between Ajman’s Municipality and Planning Department and the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment on several issues, especially environmental issues.

He praised the co-operation with the ministry for contributing to the success of projects that were implemented by the department to improve Ajman, as an advanced and green city that provides a safe and healthy lifestyle to its citizens, residents and guests. He also pointed to the department’s efforts in the field of sustainable development, including the implementation of many projects for waste recycling and safe disposal, to avoid the dangerous effects of waste and maintain the beauty of Ajman.

Al-Zeyoudi highlighted the harmony between the goals of all federal and local authorities, and the UAE leadership’s vision and directives for achieving UAE Vision 2021, and for promoting the sustainability of the environmental projects that are being implemented in the nation. He expressed his happiness with the strong partnership between Ajman’s Municipality and Planning Department and the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, which contributes to speeding up and facilitating important development projects.
