Abu Dhabi Media Services Department receives six international certificates of accreditation

ABU DHABI — The Abu Dhabi Media Company’s Support Services Department has received six international certificates of accreditation for the integrated management system, IMS, that was adopted in the first quarter of 2017.

The IMS includes management systems for quality, environment, occupational health and safety, innovation, customer complaints, and risk, according to the assessment of the SGS Gulf Limited Company.

The quality management system received the ISO 9001:2015 certificate, while the environment management system was awarded the ISO 14001:2015 certificate. The occupational health and safety management system received the OHSAS 18001:2007 certificate and the customer complaint management system received ISO 10002:2014. The risk management system and the innovation management system were awarded ISO 31000:2009 and CEN/TS 16555-1:2013, respectively.

Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Media Company, hailed the efforts of the Support Services Department in obtaining these prominent accreditation certificates.

Dr. Hilal Saeed Al Darey, Executive Director of the Support Services Department, thanked Dr. Tamim for his support to the department’s system development projects.

He added that the IMS of the Support Services Department received significant support from the Abu Dhabi Media management, and was successful in achieving its goals in a short period. Al Dareyt highlighted the fact that the Abu Dhabi Media Company is the first media institution to receive international accreditation certificates for a management system.

He stressed that these certificates reflect the commitment of Abu Dhabi Media to apply the highest standards of performance and quality, and ensure constant development to maintain its leading position.
