Abdullah bin Zayed meets Tajik FM

DUSHANBE — H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met Aslov Sirodjidin Muhridinovich, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe, on Thursday.

During the meeting, they discussed the existing friendship between the UAE and Tajikistan and the progress made by the two countries in the sectors of air transport, energy and infrastructure.

The two ministers also deliberated on co-operation between the two sides and ways to strengthen it in all fields. They also exchanged views on several issues of mutual concern.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed stressed the strength of relations between the UAE and Tajikistan, and the keenness of the leaders of both countries to develop co-operation in the best interest of the two peoples.

The Tajik Foreign Minister welcomed the UAE Foreign Minister’s visit to Tajikistan and emphasised the eagerness of his country to bolster bilateral relations with the UAE. He also hailed the urban development in the UAE.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Mohammed Ahmed bin Sultan Al Jaber, the UAE Non-Resident Ambassador to Tajikistan.
